TEN cars are reported to be in flames today (Nov 11) following a fire in a scrap yard by the A2 Watling Street but miraculously no one is thought to be injured.

Six fire engines were sent to the scene.

Crews are using two hose reel jets and a main jet to tackle the blaze. There are currently no reports of any injuries.

The A296 is currently closed both ways closed with the queuing traffic due to the fire between Bean Lane and B2500 Watling Street /Gore Road.

Emergency services are on the scene.
