A PLUMSTEAD toy library, Gurkha health project and series of barber workshops are some of the projects gaining from lottery cash this autumn.
The Big Lottery Fund has announced a new series of grants this month - and its good news for the community-run Plumstead Children's Centre toy library which will get £9,990.
Money will be used to run trips and buy play equipment for disadvantaged children and families.
Elsewhere, the Greenwich Gurkha Ex-Servicemen Association will use their funding of £9,229 to develop and deliver a health and social care programme for Ghurkha ex-servicemen and their families.
In Lewisham, Barber D's Barbering Academy will provide workshops for disadvantaged youngsters, improving employment chances, with the help of £10,000.
And Diaspora Ivoirienne UK, based in Westminster, will spend £7,029 on a Lewisham community festival next summer.
