A BEXLEY police officer has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Detective Sergeant Darren McCabe, 48, was charged by officers from the Directorate of Professional Standards yesterday.
He has been suspended from his position.
McCabe was first arrested on March 26 and was not on duty at the time of his arrest.
He has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on September 26.
