A WOOLWICH pub will continue to serve pints after a gang shooting in the car park prompted a licensing review.

The Greyhound Pub’s licensing review came after a man, who was in his 20s, was shot in the chest outside the boozer on July 27 at around 2.42am.

According to a licensing report by police, the victim of the incident was a known gang member in a "well known hotspot for drug dealing".

But the pub has been allowed to continue to trade with conditions such as that extra CCTV is fitted, following a Greenwich Council licensing committee review on August 29.

Other conditions include that at least one bouncer is present on evenings when the pub, in Kingsman Parade, hosts events.

Since the incident, a 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was bailed until October 1.
