A PEARLY King and Queen were on hand to help with the grand re-opening of a nursing home in Sutton-at-Hone.
Hundreds of prominent community figures, as well as residents and their relatives, packed out Broad Oak Manor Nursing Home, in Broadoak Close, on May 21.
The newly-elected Mayor of Dartford, Councillor Patsy Thurlow, dropped in to join the celebrations, as did a handful of local councillors, PCSO officers and a large group from Age Concern in Dartford.
Activities co-ordinator Linda Parker said: “What a fantastic afternoon we had, everyone had lots of eat and drink.
“It was all about putting us on the map and saying ‘here we are.’ “It was our grand opening from a major refurbishment and to make sure that people know where we are.”
