POLICE in Erith have carried out the controlled explosions of three shells thought to be from the Second World War.
The unexploded bombs were found at the Tarmac Ltd construction site in Church Manorway and police were called at around 4.15pm on May 8.
One shell was destroyed at around 7pm that evening before bomb disposal experts made the remaining shells safe the following day.
A Met spokesman said: "If you find what you think is a bomb or shell you should not touch or try to move it.
"Call police on 101."
