RAILWAY engineering work this weekend between Hither Green and Chislehurst will see some Kent-bound trains depart from London Victoria instead of Charing Cross.
All trains running between Charing Cross and Ramsgate will be affected by the maintenance works.
Passengers using the service towards Ramsgate – which stops at Orpington – are advised to walk from Charing Cross to Embankment Underground station, where District and Circle line trains provide easy connections to London Victoria.
Trains travelling to Ramsgate will also stop additionally at Bromley South station on both Saturday and Sunday.
Southeastern say train-users who would normally board the train at Charing Cross will be able to use their tickets on the Underground to travel to London Victoria.
The train operator is also running fewer services between Charing Cross and Tunbridge Wells tomorrow and a revised timetable and “slightly different route” will be in place between Charing Cross and Hastings.
Southeastern recommends passengers check the website before travelling and allow extra time for all journeys from Charing Cross.
