VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help keep Danson Park Lake clean.
Bexley Council, alongside Danson Park Watersports Centre, is planning to spread giant barley straw bales across the lake.
It is hoped this will reduce algae growth and protect the lake’s fragile ecosystem.
Teams of qualified coaches and volunteers will work at the side of the lake and on boats on the water to place the straw bales in place.
If you would like to get involved with this environmentally-friendly project, volunteers are wanted between 10am and 2pm on March 9.
For more information call Danson Watersports Centre on 020 8303 2828.
