A MAN has been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run incident in Chislehurst which left a cyclist fighting for his life.
The victim, a Bromley College lecturer in his 60s, was hit by a car in Chislehurst Road, by Berryfield Close, at around 9.20pm on October 15. The car driver did not stop at the scene.
After a 54-minute wait, ambulances treated him for his injuries before taking him to Kings College Hospital, in Denmark Hill.
While the victim continues to recover from his serious injuries in hospital a 44 year-old man from Catford has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
He was arrested in Lewisham on October 26 and has been bailed until December 7.
