A GROUP of youngsters ran away from police after a boy was nearly hit by a firework in Swanscombe on Halloween night (October 31).
Officers from Kent Police were called to Broomfield Road at 10.15pm to reports that a group of young people had set off the firework.
As officers approached the group, however, they dispersed and ran away.
In a separate incident in Northfleet, officers stopped a number of people suspected of throwing eggs at windows as part of their Halloween celebrations.
They spoke with them about the disturbance and worry they were causing homeowners but no further action was taken.
Police officers across Kent actively targeted people causing a nuisance on Halloween night as part of the Stay Safe this Autumn campaign.
