Greenwich will host the largest ever exhibition dedicated to the diarist Samuel Pepys.

The National Maritime Museum will host Samuel Pepys: Plague, Fire and Revolution – featuring 200 objects from national and international museums, galleries and private collections – from November 20 to March 16 next year.

Pepys was one of the 17th century’s most colourful and appealing characters and witnessed many of the great events that shaped Stuart Britain – from the execution of Charles I to the plague and the Great Fire of London – and was right in the middle of it, chronicling events in his famous diary.

The exhibition runs from 10am to 5pm daily from November 20. Admission costs £12 adults or £6 children. Go to rmg.co.uk
