JOIN the craze and get baking at a series of tempting bread workshops in Bexleyheath, and win a voucher with News Shopper.

Cocoa and Heart Bakery is holding a Real Bread Marathon – a series of small, all-ability, hands-on classes for wannabe Paul Hollywoods – from May 10 to May 19.

Owner Magdalena Marsden has designed the workshops for Real Bread Week which range from a £45 for a two-and-a-half-hour Introduction to Bread Baking to a £90 Sweet Bread Baking class.

Ten per cent of the week’s profits will go to the Real Bread Campaign.

And News Shopper is offering readers the chance to win a voucher for one of her masterclasses.

Magdalena, who has run the boutique bakery in Izane Road since 2011, said: “The idea of Real Bread Week is to get people interested in baking their own bread and encourage them to do that.

“It is really satisfying achieving something from nothing with your own hands.

“You literally start with four basic ingredients – flour, water, salt and yeast – you put them together and you end up with something really amazing that you can eat.

“I think the Great British Bake Off inspired people to see what baking is like. It is a really satisfying way to spend an afternoon. People have just got really enthusiastic about baking because of that.”
