The brand-new season of Bridgerton is out and you might recognise some of the filming locations - because they're in no other than south London.
The first segment of season three of Bridgerton made its debut on Netflix this month (May 16), bringing a brand-new season of love, intrigue and scandal to our TV screens.
South east London, with its many historic Georgian buildings and rich architecture, featured in this season of Bridgerton with two locations across south east London spotted.
All the locations we’ve mentioned are open houses you can visit, which is perfect if you’re planning a Bridgerton day trip in south east London.
The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich
Returning for another season, this iconic Greenwich location was spotted in episode two of season 3 and was used as a location for the Mayfair Market and some additional shots of ton clad in their finery.
Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, the building was originally built in 1873 as a home for the retired sailors of the British Navy.
Today you can visit it and explore its buildings and history, including the opulent Painted Hall famously known as Britain’s Sistine Chapel, and the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul which is rumoured to appear as a filming location for the second part of Season three.
The Ranger’s House, Greenwich
Back for another season is the return of the fan-favourite Ranger’s House, which serves as the exterior for the Bridgerton’s London home in this season as it did in seasons one and two.
The location could be spotted once again covered in purple wisteria.
Now owned by English Heritage, visitors can explore the historic house which was once a Georgian villa first built in 1723, and houses the Wernher Collection with over 700 works of art displayed on the site.
Chiswick House and Gardens, Chiswick
Chiswick House and Gardens, with its historic buildings and landscaped gardens, has been used to film various church and carriage scenes over the last three seasons.
The house dates back to 1726 when it was first built and features beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland areas to explore.
Painshil, Surrey
Previously used as a filming location for season one of the show, the gardens of Painshill in Surrey were spotted in season three.
The grounds besides the park's Serpentine Lake were turned into a Regency funfair complete with hot air balloon and a maypole in Hawkins' Hot Air Balloon scene.
The gardens are home to several stunning landmarks including a 27-metre Gothic Tower, The Ruined Abbey and The Crystal Grotto.
Tickets to enter cost £11 for an adult, £10 for a concession and £6 for children over the age of five, with carers being admitted free of charge.
Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey
The opulent surroundings of Hampton Court Palace, a former royal court for kings and queens, returned for anther season of Bridgerton.
Hampton Court Palace was used as a filming location in episode four of season three, as a backdrop to the Greek Myths ballet and Queen’s Ball, and could be seen when Colin chases an upset Penelope into her carriage during the rather steamy final 15 minutes of episode four.
