This year Bromley Town Centre has waved goodbye to some popular and long-standing businesses.

From Wilko to Paperchase, these are the shops we’ve lost in Bromley’s Town Centre in 2023:

Paperchase

Located at Unit 6 in the Lower Mall in the Glades, Paperchase was an integral part of Bromley for years, first being located on the high street before moving to the Glades in 2021.

However, after just 2 years of moving into the new premises, Paperchase announced the closure of all its UK stores in April this year, with its last day trading on April 3, 2023.

The unit has since been taken over by Rituals Cosmetics who moved from its previous spot next to Caffé Nero.

Monsoon and Accessorize

Located in Units 15 and 16 in the Glades, Monsoon and Accessorize has been part of Bromley for many years.

The shop sadly closed sometime around August this year and the unit is currently vacant.

Wilko

Formerly located across the road from Bromley South station, Wilko was the one-stop-shop for many needs from stationary and homeware to pet supplies.

Sadly, the chain went into administration in September 2023, with its remaining 111 stores closing in October.

Bromley’s Wilko closed its doors on October 8, marking one of the last stores to close after 11 years on the site.
