With MCM Comic Con London returning for its second yearly event, there's still a huge buzz around it- even after Covid-19
What is Comic Con all about?
Comic Con is a convention typically over 3 days that celebrates comics, TV shows and movies with fans who attend wearing merchandise or cosplay without the fear of anyone judging.
At Comic con there's also opportunities that fans find nowhere else such as:
-
Panels dedicated to particular fandoms!
-
Artists and authors promoting and signing copies of their books/works!
-
Meets and greets with celebrity guests (like Tom Hiddleston once attended!)
-
Stalls selling accessories you'll never find anywhere else!
As well as these it's also pretty awesome to see people dressed as your favourite characters and take photos or speak to them as if you're really meeting the characters.
What to bring to Comic Con?
ExCel London Comic Con has plenty of stalls that sell items you can't find elsewhere so it's a great idea to bring plenty of cash because these exclusive items don't come cheap! As well as that, try to wear a graphic t-shirt to show your favourite show or character or even better: wear a cosplay because you'll receive lots of compliments and won't stand out.
When is Comic Con?
Conventions occur all year round at many different locations around the year. However, the biggest one is MCM Comic-Con London which occurs at the ExCel centre 2x a year in May and October. With the next one scheduled for 24-26 May 2024 and tickets now available from £21pp with under-10s free, it's an event you don't want to miss!
