NOTICE OF DIRECTION MADE UNDER ARTICLE 4(1) THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON ("The Council") HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that the Council being the appropriate Local Planning Authority has made a direction pursuant to Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) ("The Order").
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON ("The Council") HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that the Council being the appropriate Local Planning Authority has made a direction pursuant to Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) ("The Order").
This notice refers to the direction which affects land (being the entire area of the London Borough of Croydon). The effect of the Direction is that development as set out in the schedule to this notice shall not be carried out on the Land unless planning permission has been granted on an application made under part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended).
This Direction is made under Article 4(1) of the General Permitted Development Order and in accordance with Schedule 3 of that Order, and will come into force on 28th January 2020.
SCHEDULE
Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class (C3) (Dwellinghouses) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended) to a use falling within Class C4 (Houses in multiple occupation) of that Schedule, being development comprised within Class L(b) of Part 3 of Schedule 2 to the GDPO and not being development comprised within any other Class.
A copy of the Article 4(1) Direction, map defining the area and associated documents can be seen at Bernard Weatherill House (Access Croydon), Mint Walk, Croydon, between the hours of 8:30am-4:45pm (Monday to Friday), and in the Croydon Town Hall, Katherine Street, Croydon, between the hours of 9am and 6pm (Monday to Friday), during the six-week representation period. The information is also available on the Council's website at https://www.croydon.gov.uk/ planningandregeneration/make-application/article-4-directions.
