DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 195 The Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. D8) Traffic Order 2018
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make the above Traffic Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to:
(a) Revoke the disabled parking places outside No.7 Cumberland Road, South Norwood, outside No.33 Oaklands Avenue, Thornton Heath, outside 56 Howberry Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.3 Milner Road, Thornton Heath, 57 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath, 76 King Henry's Drive, New Addington
(b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in:

3. A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the plans which indicate each length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the Enquiry Counter, 'Access Croydon' Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1 EA.

5. 6. The Order is intended to introduce/extend disabled parking bays in roads where difficulty is being experienced in the parking of disabled persons' vehicles due to heavy demand for parking in those areas. The order would also revoke those disabled parking bays which are no longer required in order to make best use of kerb space.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS HARRINGTON ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works on behalf of BT Openreach to lay a new duct in the footway, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian traffic movements and parking in Harrington Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
(a) the north-western footway in Harrington Road will be closed between its junctions with Cresswell Road and Albert Road;
(b) parking on the north-western side of Harrington Road will be suspended (from property No. 43 to the Albert Tavern) and waiting and loading restrictions will apply between 9am and 4pm, to facilitate a walkway in the carriageway.

3. The Order will come into operation on 30 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within 5 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said works;
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS WHITEHORSE ROAD, CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer servicing works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Whitehorse Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Whitehorse Road at its junction with St James's Road.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as signposted.

4. The Order will come into operation on 26 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the duration of the works will be carried out in 4 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
