Croydon Council are inviting comments on the applications listed below which are advertised for the reasons given:

18/00566/FUL Erection of single storey rear extension and subdivsion of existing dwelling to two units with associated alterations at 222 Coulsdon Road Coulsdon CR5 2LF

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 03 April 2018 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to:-



(a) Relocate the two shared use (permit/pay and display) parking bays outside Nos. 11 and 13 Sheldon Street to the opposite side of the road;



(b) Introduce one additional free one-hour parking bay in Station Approach Road, Coulsdon, opposite the flank wall of 127 Brighton Road, Coulsdon.



3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on the 09 April 2018, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CRO 1EA.



4. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from Parking Design, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk Croydon, CRO 1 EA.



5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED, THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

DINGWALL ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AND PARKING

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce one-way working, a banned turn and suspended parking in Dingwall Road, Croydon.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-



(a) one-way working will be introduced in Dingwall Road, southbound, between Sydenham Road and Lansdowne Road;



(b) vehicles will not be permitted to turn left from Dingwall Road into Lansdowne Road;



(c) parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in Dingwall Road between Sydenham Road and Lansdowne Road.



3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Lansdowne Road, St James's Road, Newgate, Wellesley Road and Bedford Park.



4. The Order will come into operation on 09 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in approximately 6 weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14, AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily:



(a) introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice;



(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice;



(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to those mentioned in the Schedule to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress; and



(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required;



(e) any other temporary traffic management measures as required to facilitate gas works.



2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress in those streets or lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:



(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or



(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.



3. Whilst the provisions of the Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles will be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.



4. During the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above, displaced traffic will be diverted via local streets as appropriately signed.



5. The Order will come into operation on the 30 April 2018 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months.



(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2002. Access for frontagers will be maintained as far as possible whilst the work proceeds).

BISHOP'S ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of gas services, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic movements in Bishop's Road, Croydon.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Bishop's Road and the south­eastern footway will be closed outside the common boundary of nos.21 and 21 a to the north-eastern flank wall of no.19 Bishop's Road.



3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as appropriately signed.



4. The Order will come into operation on 19 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 5 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS YEW TREE WALK, PURLEY & SURROUNDING ROADS TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Yew Tree Walk and to prohibit parking in Yew Tree Walk and the surrounding roads, as listed in the Schedule to this notice.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-



(a) Yew Tree Walk will be closed to vehicular traffic between 8am and 4pm each day;



(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in the roads listed in the Schedule to this notice.



3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Brancaster Lane, Purley Downs Road, Purley Bury Avenue, Riddlesdown Road and Yew Tree Walk as appropriately signed.



4. The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle involved in carrying out the works, or to any vehicle used for police, fire service or ambulance purposes.



5. The Order will come into operation on 19 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately six months. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

REMOVAL OF VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT -BIRCHANGER ROAD, BECKET CLOSE, MARDELL ROAD, AND THE GLADE, CROYDON.

The Croydon (Variable Speed Limit) (No.1) Traffic Order 2018

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 03 April 2018 made the above Order under Sections 84, 87 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.



2. The general effect of the Order will be:



(a) to prohibit any motor vehicle exceeding a speed of 20 miles per hour In the streets/sections of streets specified In the table below between the hours 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive during Woodside Primary School term time and whenever the relevant electronic signing is displayed. A 30mph speed limit would apply at all other times;



Blackhorse Between its junction with Woodside Green and a point Lane 18 metres south-east of that junction.



Hermitage Between its junction with Morland Road and a point Lane 15 metres north-west of that junction.



Morland Between its junction with Woodside Green and the Road common boundary of Nos. 297 and 299 Morland Road.



Woodside Between its junction with Morland Road and the Green north-eastern flank wall of No. 24 Woodside Green.



(b) to remove the existing variable speed limits in Birchanger Road, Becket Close, Mardell Road and The Glade to enable a permanent 20mph speed limit to be introduced.

Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 09 April 2018, and of all associated Orders can be inspected from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the "Access Croydon" Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1 EA.
