ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS PORTLAND ROAD. SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC


1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a bridge examination they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Portland Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Portland Road will be closed between its junction with Manor Road and the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2 Orton Buildings, Portland Road.

b) The south-western footway of Portland Road will be closed between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2 Orton Buildings, Portland Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Portland Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

- Southbound Traffic - Via A215 South Norwood Hill, A212 Grange Road, A212 Whitehorse Road, A212 Windmill Road, A213 St James Road, A213 Sumner Road, A236 Mitcham Road, A236 Roman Way, A236 Old Town, A232 Croydon Flyover, A232 Barclay Road, A232 Chepstow Road and A232 Addiscombe Road.

- Southbound Traffic being caught on the A214 Diversion Route - Via A215 Knights Hill, A215 Norwood Road, A205 Christchurch Road, A23 Streatham Hill, A23 Streatham High Road, A23 London Road, A23 Thornton Road, A236 Mitcham Road, A236 Roman Way, A236 Old Town, A232 Croydon Flyover, A232 Barclay Road, A232 Chepstow Road and A232 Addiscombe Road.

- Northbound Traffic - Via A232 Addiscombe Road, A232 Chepstow Road, A232 Barclay Road, A232 Croydon Flyover, A236 Old Town, A236 Roman Way, A236 Mitcham Road, A23 Thornton Road, A23 London Road, A23 Streatham High Road and A214 Streatham Common North.

- Northbound Traffic being caught on A222 Diversion Route - Via A222 Long Lane, A222 Croydon Road around the roundabout, A222 Croydon Road, A222 Long Lane, A215 Shirley Road, A232 Addiscombe Road, A232 Chepstow Road, A232 Barclay Road, A232 Croydon Flyover, A236 Old Town, A236 Roman Way, A236 Mitcham Road, A23 Thornton Road, A23 London Road, A23 Streatham High Road and A214 Streatham Common North.

3. The Order will come into operation on 01 June 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight between 10pm and 6am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any person or vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC


1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cover replacement works on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in St. Peter's Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place St. Peter's Road will be closed outside No. 2 St. Peter's Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in place the diversion route for traffic will be via Coombe Road, Lower Coombe Street, the A236, the A235, the B275, St Peters Road and vice versa, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 29 May 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day between 8am and 10.30am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING


1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Stanley Grove.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, rolling parking suspensions and temporary waiting and loading restrictions operating 'at any time' will be introduced in Stanley Grove.

3. The Order will come into operation on 06 June 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 27 June 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further works are required.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said works;

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Strathyre Avenue.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Strathyre Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junction with Dalmeny Avenue and the common boundary of Nos. 141 and 143 Strathyre Avenue;

b) The north-western footway of Strathyre Avenue will be closed to pedestrians between its junction with Dalmeny Avenue and the common boundary of Nos. 141 and 143 Strathyre Avenue.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.

- Via Dalmeny Avenue, Kilmartin Avenue, Dunbar Avenue, Strathyre Avenue and reversed;

- Via Strathyre Avenue, Norbury Crescent, Ederline Avenue, Dunbar Avenue, Strathyre Avenue and reversed;

- Via Strathyre Avenue, Ardfern Avenue, Kilmartin Avenue, Dalmeny Avenue and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 08 June 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) The carriageway of Upton Road will be closed outside No. 19;

(b) The south-western footway of Upton Road will be closed outside No. 19.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be via Burlington Road, Howberry Road, Cranbrook Road, Upton Road and reversed, or via Burlington Road, Penrith Road, Cranbrook Road, Upton Road and reversed. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.

4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

5. The Order will come into operation on 07 June 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within seven days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING


1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to repair a collapsed sewer they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Waddon Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

a) Waddon Road will be closed outside Nos. 84 to 88 Waddon Road;

b) Parking in the bays opposite Nos. 84 to 88 Waddon Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time on both sides of the road.

3. During the closure the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.

- Northbound: Via Purley Way, Mitcham Road, Roman Way, Reeves Corner and Cairo New Road;

- Northbound (reversed): Via Waddon Road, Rectory Grove, Roman Way, Mitcham Road and Purley Way;

- Southbound: Via Purley Way, Stafford Road, Epsom Road and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 30 May 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 15 June 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe repair works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Zermatt Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

a) Zermatt Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Zermatt Road and the junction with Geneva Road;

b) The north-eastern footway of Zermatt Road will be closed to pedestrians between the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Zermatt Road and the junction with Geneva Road.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.

- Via Ecclesbourne Road, Boswell Road, Lucerne Road and Zermatt Road;

- Via Ecclesbourne Road, Berne Road, Geneva Road, Zermatt Road, Boswell Road and Lucerne Road;

- Via Lucerne Road, Berne Road, Geneva Road and Zermatt Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 15 June 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within six days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
