ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984 SECTION 23
PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING PORTLAND ROAD. SOUTH NORWOOD

Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that they propose to install a zebra crossing in the above road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice to provide a safe crossing facility and improve road safety for school children and other pedestrians.
The general effect of the zig-zag markings would be to prohibit all vehicles from stopping on the markings for any reason and to improve road safety by aiding pedestrians to cross safely.

Schedule
It is intended to place a zebra crossing in the carriageway in the following location.
Portland Road, outside No. 77. The crossing point would extend from a point 12.1 metres north-west of the north-western kerb line of Addison Road for a distance of 2.8 metres. The zig-zag markings would extend north-west of the crossing point for 17.3 metres and south-east of the crossing point for 21.74 metres on the south-west side and 8.84 metres on the north-east side of Portland Road. Note: The existing pedestrian refuge island outside Nos. 73A/75 Portland Road would be removed as part of this scheme.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
COULSDON COURT ROAD. COULSDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works to install a new customer connection they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Coulsdon Court Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Coulsdon Court Road will be closed between its junction with Cearn Way and a point 390 metres south-east of that junction.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Cearn Way and Coulsdon Road, as appropriately signed. Residents' access will be maintained.

4. The Order will come into operation on 17 March 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out with one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
HALING PARK ROAD. SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Haling Park Road, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in Haling Park Road on the east (even-numbered) side between a point opposite the southern boundary of No. 113 Haling Park Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 121 and 129 Haling Park Road.

3. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

4. The Order will come into operation on 03 March 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
SUFFOLK ROAD & ST DUNSTAN'S ROAD. SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water service they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Suffolk Road and St Dunstan's Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) Suffolk Road will be closed between its junction with St Dunstan's Road and a point 10 metres north-east of the south-western boundary of No. 13 Suffolk Road;

(b) One-way working in Suffolk Road and St Dunstan's Road will be suspended to allow two way traffic;

(c) Parking in Suffolk Road and St Dunstan's Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time;

(d) A speed limit of 5mph will apply in Suffolk Road and St Dunstan's Road.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via St Dunstan's Road, High Street, South Norwood and South Norwood Hill as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 01 March 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

SELSDON PARK ROAD. SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works on a link box, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily introduce a one-way working in Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Selsdon Park Road opposite No.215 Selsdon Park Road, other than in a north-easterly direction.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Addington Road, Brighton Road, Coombe Lane, Coombe Road, Downs Road, Gravel Hill, South End, Riddlesdown Road, Purley Downs Road, Sanderstead Hill and Selsdon Park Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 03 May 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 3 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

PENSHURST ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install new gas connections, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic and parking in Penshurst Road, Thornton Heath.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) Penshurst Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 48 and 50 and Nos. 54 and 56 Penshurst Road;

(b) Parking will be temporarily suspended on both sides of Penshurst Road and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time' outside Nos. 42 to 52 Penshurst Road outside Nos. 39 to 47 Penshurst Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in force, the diversion route for traffic will be via Penshurst Road, Brigstock Road, Frant Road, Lakehall Road and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 16 March 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle involved in the said works;

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

SPURGEON ROAD. UPPER NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install new gas service connections they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Spurgeon Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) Spurgeon Road will be closed between its junction with Beulah Hill and the north-eastern boundary of No. 72 Spurgeon Road;

(b) Parking will be prohibited and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in Spurgeon Road between its junction with Beulah Hill and a point 40 metres south-west of that junction.

3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Beulah Hill, Spa Hill, Waddington Way and Downsview Road and vice versa, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 26 February 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within eight days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
