THE LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
The Merton (Prescribed Route) (Lingfield Road) Traffic Order 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to:-

(a) revoke the London Borough of Merton (Prescribed Route) (No. 63) Traffic Order 1991, and

(b) re-introduce its provisions with an exemption for pedal cycles to the one-way working in Lingfield Road and an additional short length of contraflow cycle route at the entrance of Lingfield Road at its junction with High Street, Wimbledon.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicates the road or length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. However, due to the pandemic, the documents are also available for inspection at

Alternatively, those without internet access can receive a copy of the documents by post, by phoning 020 8274 4901 or by sending a request by post to:- the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. The letter of request should be prominently marked: ES/LINGFIELD.

4. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to

quoting reference ES/LINGFIELD, no later than 12 March 2021.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(NEW CLOSE, COLLIERS WOOD)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water service connection and ancillary works in New Close, Colliers Wood, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in New Close, Colliers Wood, between the southern boundary of No. 5 New Close and the northern boundary of No. 5 New Close; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of New Close specified in sub-paragraph (a) above; or

(c) enter of proceed in the western footway of the length of New Close specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of New Close specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties adjacent to the length of New Close specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using the other arms of New Close.

7. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into operation on Monday 1 st March 2021 and remain in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(HIGH STREET, WIMBLEDON AND PARKSIDE, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in High Street, Wimbledon and Parkside, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works, no person will:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:

(i) High Street, Wimbledon, between its junction with Parkside and its junction with Church Road; or

(ii) Parkside, SW19, between its junction with High Street, Wimbledon and a point 40 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Marryat Road; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.

3. During the works, the one-way working in High Street, Wimbledon, the southern arm adjacent to Nos. 46 to 54 High Street, Wimbledon, will be suspended and two-way traffic permitted.

4. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

5. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

6. During the works, vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Cannizaro Road, West Side Common, Woodhayes Road and Ridgway or vice versa.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into force on Monday 1st March 2021, with the works anticipated to be completed over 2 nights between the hours of 8.30pm and 4am the next day. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
HIGH PATH AND STATION ROAD, COLLIERS WOOD
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate redevelopment works at the Abbey Wall Works, Station Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in High Path and Station Road, Colliers Wood, adjacent the Abbey Wall Works.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in:

(a) High Path, the south side, from a point 6 metres west of the eastern kerb-line of Abbey Road eastward to its junction with Station Road; or

(b) Station Road, the south side, from its junction with High Path to a point 10 metres east of the eastern boundary of No. 38 Station Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 1st March 2021 and would remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
