PN1059 - CROYDON COUNCIL

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND AMENDMENTS TO EXISTING PAY AND DISPLAY ONLY AND FREE LIMITED WAITING PARKING BAYS - ALTYRE ROAD, CROYDON AND CENTRAL PARADE, NEW ADDINGTON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting)

and (Free Parking Places) (No.16) Order 2020 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.17) Order 2020

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 12 October 2020 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.



2. The general effect of the Orders will be:-



(a) To provide parking places which may be used free of charge by electrically propelled vehicles that are being charged with electrical power, operational at any time on Mondays to Sundays inclusive, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Order.



(b) To remove existing yellow line waiting restrictions, pay and display only and free limited time waiting parking bays where necessary, in those locations where electric vehicle charging bays are proposed.



(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.



NOTE: although parking in the electric vehicle bays is free of charge there is a cost involved in the use of the adjacent electric vehicle charging point.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 19 October 2020, and of all associated Orders can be inspected from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the "Access Croydon" Facility,



8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Parking Design Team, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1 EA.



5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE - PROPOSED ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS

a) One bay to be provided on the east side of Altyre Road, outside Altitude Apartments, No.9 Altyre Road. This will replace a two hour maximum stay pay and display only parking bay.



b) One bay to be provided on the east side of Central Parade, New Addington, outside No.2. This will replace a one hour maximum stay free limited time waiting bay.



PN1060 - CROYDON COUNCIL

PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND AMENDMENTS TO EXISTING SHARED USE, FREE LIMITED TIME AND PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING BAYS - FRANT ROAD, LOWER ADDISCOMBE ROAD, PAMPISFORD ROAD, STANHOPE ROAD, SOUTH END & WADDON WAY

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 12 October 2020 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

SCHEDULE - PROPOSED ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS

a) Two bays to be provided on the north-east side of Frant Road adjacent to the junction with Brigstock Road - these will replace two proposed permit / pay-by phone bays.



b) Two bays to be provided on the north-west side of Lower Addiscombe Road outside No. 275 - these will replace two one-hour maximum stay free parking bays.



c) Three bays to be provided on the south-east side of Pampisford Road opposite Gresham Court, No. 11 Pampisford Road - these will replace three permit / pay and display bays.



d) One bay to be provided on the east side of South End outside Nos. 47 and 49 - this will replace one pay and display only bay.



e) Three bays to be provided on the north-east side of Stanhope Road northwest of the junction with Chichester Road - these will replace three permit / pay and display bays.



f) Two bays to be provided on the south side of Waddon Way opposite C.M.O Bowling Club - these will replace two unrestricted parking spaces within an inset parking bay.



PN1061 - CROYDON COUNCIL

PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF OFF-STREET CAR PARK WADDON DEVELOPMENT RESIDENTIAL CAR PARK The Croydon (Off Street Parking Places) (No.K95) Traffic Order 20-

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make Traffic Order under Sections 32, 35, 124 of, and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.



2. The general effect of the Order would be to amend the existing description of the area covered by the Waddon Development Residential Car Park to the description shown below, which takes into account more recent boundary changes.



Waddon Development Residential Car Park The area of land accessed from Purley Way and bounded to the north by Waddon Leisure Centre Car Park, to the east by Nos. 1 to 45 Propeller Crescent, to the south by the northern boundary of Harris Primary Academy, Purley Way, and to the west by Purley Way.

3. Copies of the proposed Order and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.



4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1 EA or email

5. The Order is intended to amend the description of Waddon Development Residential Car Park to take into account changes to the boundaries caused by further development and additions to the original car park area. The Order should help to reduce obstructive and commuter parking in these residential areas by ensuring that the whole car park area is enforceable.

PN1062 - CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

SALEM PLACE, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Salem Place, Croydon.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-



a) Salem Place will be closed between its junction with Old Town and the common boundary of Nos. 11 and 13 Salem Place;



b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time opposite Nos. 3 to 11 Salem Place.



3. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for traffic will be via Salem Place and Cranmer Road, as appropriately signed.



4. The Order will come into operation on 19 October 2020 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within approximately seven weeks between 7am and 4pm each day. However the Order will remain In force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.



5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:



(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;



(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;



(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

PN1063 - CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14, AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

AMPERE WAY SLIP ROAD, CROYDON

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate street lighting replacement works they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic Ampere Way slip road.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place Ampere Way slip road, giving access on to and off of Purley Way, will be closed between it junctions with Ampere Way and Purley Way.



3. During the closure the diversion routes for traffic will be via Mitcham Road, Trafalgar Way, Turners Way, Drury Crescent, Purley Way and Ampere Way as appropriately signed.



4. The Order will come into operation on the 30 October 2020 and will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.



5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:



(a) A vehicle involved in the said works;



(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;



(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

PN1064 - CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 COLDHARBOUR ROAD, CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate access to and egress from a construction site they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to introduce parking restrictions in Coldharbour Road.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place double yellow lines operating "at any time" will be introduced on the north-western (odd-numbered) side of Coldharbour Road, extending from the end of the existing red route restriction for a distance of 10 metres north-eastwards.



3. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:



(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;



(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.



4. The Order will come into operation on 30 October 2020 and may remain In force for a maximum duration of 18 months.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water pipe repair works on behalf of SES Water they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to introduce parking restrictions in Dale Road.



2. Whilst the said works are taking place waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" will be introduced outside No. 3 Dale Road, between the common boundaries of Nos. 1 and 3 and Nos. 3 and 5 Dale Road.
