LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
BEULAH ROAD. SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer connection works in Beulah Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the worksi­te) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to :-

(i) enter or proceed in Beulah Road, from its junction with Hartfield Road south-westward for a distance of 40 metres; or

(ii) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Beulah Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above;

(b) the one-way working in Beulah Road would be suspended; and

(c) the width restriction in Dundonald Road near its junction with Fairlawn Road would be suspended to facilitate a diversion.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Hartfield Road (northbound), The Broadway, Gladstone Road, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road (southbound), Kingston Road, Merton Hall Road and Dundonald Road.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 3rd August 2020 with the works anticipated to be finished within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of six months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(11 (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) ORDER 2020
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they have made an Order, the effect of which, during the works, will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding in or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.
2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads.
3. The restrictions and suspensions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but will likely be those diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. The Order will come into force on Wednesday 29th July 2020 and the anticipated works dates are specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.

(KINGSTON ROAD. SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate repairs to damaged tram lines to be undertaken in Kingston Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Kingston Road, SW19, between its junction with Hartfield Road and a point 20 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Kingswood Road; or

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the length of Kingston Road specified in sub­paragraph (a) above.

3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be as follows:-

south-east bound traffic should proceed via Kingston Road (A238), Morden Road (A219), Morden Road (A24), London Road (A24), Crown Road (A24), Crown Lane (B286), Martin Way (B286) and Bushey Road (A298); and
north-west bound traffic should proceed via Bushey Road (A298), Martin Way (B286), Crown Lane (B286), London Road (A24), Morden Road (A24), Morden Road (A219) and Kingston Road (A238).
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

(a) 11.59pm on Friday 31st July 2020 and 6am the following day;

(b) 11.59pm on Saturday 1st August 2020 and 8am the following day; and

(c) 11.59 on Sunday 2nd August 2020 until 6am the following day.
