THE A49 TRUNK ROAD (HEREFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the A49 Trunk Road, at Hereford in the District of the County of Herefordshire to allow resurfacing and kerb maintenance works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order will be to -

(1) prohibit vehicles from turning right -



a) from the southbound carriageway of the A49 into Barton Road at Hereford; or



b) from the northbound carriageway of the A49 into St Nicholas Street at Hereford; and



(2) prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding on the A49 at the northern pedestrian crossing at the crossroads junction with Barton Road and St Nicholas Street, at Hereford.



The work will be carried out overnight between 21:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 3 August 2020 and continue for approximately twelve nights. The Order will come into force on 27 July 2020. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the prohibition. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A49 will be signed. Pedestrians will be diverted to an alternative crossing. For further information please contact Ryan Davies on 07712 544 302.

THE M50 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 1 TO JUNCTION 3) (SLIP ROADS) (TEMPORARY

PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the M50 Motorway, in the Counties of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and the District of the County of Herefordshire, to allow cyclical maintenance works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times, the slip roads leading to or from the M50 at Junctions 1, 2 and 3. The work will be carried out overnight between 21:30 hours and 05:30 hours and is expected to start on Monday 3 August 2020 and continue for eight nights. The Order will come into force on 27 July 2020. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
