LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION
CARSHALTON ROAD. CROYDON ROAD AND THE CARSHALTON ROAD ROUNDABOUT
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer rehabilitation works at the Carshalton Road Roundabout, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Carshalton Road, Croydon Road and at the Carshalton Road Roundabout.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter into or proceed in:-

(i) the Carshalton Road Roundabout, the south and west sides, between the north-westbound lane of Croydon Road and the north-westbound lane of Commonside West inclusive; or

(ii) Carshalton Road, from its junction with the Carshalton Road Roundabout and its junction with Cranmer Road; or

(iii) Croydon Road, the north-westbound lane, from its junction with the Carshalton Road Roundabout south­eastward for a distance of 10 metres; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading that vehicle, in the lengths of road described in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i)(ii) and (iii) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Access to properties adjacent to the lengths of road described in paragraph 2(a) above would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Croydon Road(A236), Mitcham Road(A236), the Lombard Roundabout, Purley Way(A23), Croydon Road(A238), Manor Road North(A237) and London Road(A237) or via Cranmer Road, Madeira Road and Commonside West.

N.B. 1 - Three-way traffic lights would be used to maintain traffic travelling between Commonside West and Croydon Road and egressing from Cedars Avenue.
N.B. 2 - The no right turn from Commonside West into Madeira Road would be suspended for the duration of the works.
8. The Order would come into operation on Thursday 14th May 2020 with works at the Carshalton Road Roundabout anticipated to be completed within 5 days. However, the Order would remain in operation for 12 months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

CROMWELL ROAD. WIMBLEDON
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works in Cromwell Road, Wimbledon, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed westbound in Cromwell Road between its junction with Haydons Road and its junction with Avondale Road; or
(b)wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Cromwell Road, from its junction with Haydons Road westward for a distance of 50 metres.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Cromwell Road specified in paragraph 2(b) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the westbound closure of Cromwell Road should proceed by way of Haydons Road, Haydon Park Road and Avondale Road.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into force on Monday 18th May 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 20th May 2020. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 18 months should further works be required.

BUSHEY ROAD AND GRAND DRIVE. RAYNES PARK
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas main replacement and ancillary works in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Bushey Road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to :-

(a) proceed northbound in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, between its junction with the northern kerb-line of Bushey Road and the common boundary of Nos. 35 and 37 Grand Drive; or

(b) turn right or left into Grand Drive from Bushey Road; or (c)wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading

any vehicle, in the length of Grand Drive specified in sub­paragraph (a) above.
3. During the works, vehicular traffic travelling northbound in Grand Drive would turn left into Bushey Road upon reaching the junction with Bushey Road.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Vehicular traffic affected by the northbound closure of Grand Drive should proceed by way of Bushey Road, Beverley Way southbound, Shannon Corner Roundabout, Kingston-By-Pass (A3) northbound, Beverley Way, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road, Worple Road, Pepys Road, Raynes Park Bridge and Approach Road or, if proceeding eastbound on Bushey Road, via Bushey Road eastbound, Kingston Road and Approach Road.

PLOUGH LANE. WIMBLEDON
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works in Plough Lane, Wimbledon, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:

(a) enter or proceed in:-

(i) Plough Lane, between its junction with Summerstown and its junction with Waterside Way; or

(ii) Plough Lane, the north-eastbound lane, between a point 25 metres north-east of its junction with Havelock Road and its junction with Waterside Way; or

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Plough Lane, between a point 25 metres north­east of its junction with Havelock Road and its junction with Summerstown.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified paragraph 2(b) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d)any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works. Access to Waterside Way would be maintained at all times.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Durnsford Road, Merton Road, Buckhold Road, Wandsworth High Street, Wandsworth Plain, Armoury Way, Ram Street, Garratt Lane and Summerstown or via Summerstown, Garratt Lane, Wandsworth High Street, Buckhold Road, Merton Road and Durnford Road.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 18 May 2020 and it is anticipated that the works would be carried out nightly from that date for 10 nights between the hours of 8pm and 5am the following day. However, the Order would remain in force for 12 months should further works be required.
