THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL ELMWOOD DRIVE (D2148) AND EWELL PARK WAY (D2151), EWELL – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2019
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of a) Elmwood Drive (D2148), Ewell that extends from its junction with London Road (A24), north-westwards for a distance of 15m; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Ewell Park Way, Park Avenue West, Park Avenue East and London Road. b) Ewell Park Way (D2151), Ewell that extends from its junction with London Road (A24), northwestwards for a distance of 15m; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Elmwood Drive, Ewell Park Way and London Road. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable SGN to carry out gas mains replacement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases within 8 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order which commences on 17 June 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and; dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. No sole access will be affected however access for emergency services, residences and businesses will be maintained up to the point of each closure via the vehicular diversion routes described above.
