Racism is a big problem in today's society, about 54 years after racial desegregation was enforced in America.
You don't have to be an Einstein to figure out that there's something wrong with that statement.
The thing is that discrimination is rife, and quite a lot of the time among the younger generations, the teenagers.

Some teenagers seem to have the idea that because they are a different skin colour, white, or in some cases, brown or black, that they have the right to either insult, attack or ignore anyone who's not the same colour.
Now, in a so-called free society this isn't really fair at all, is it? Why should anyone be treated differently because of his or her looks?
There's an old saying "don't judge a book by its cover". That's quoted quite a lot. I think it's time we listened to it.
With all the different races out there, and all the other cultures, and in our sniping at people who are different, we forget one thing: We are people.
Just like every other person, we are all the same, except for colour. We all have emotions, feelings, have fought for a right to live in this world, and all deserve equal treatment.
Next time you hear someone being racist, what will you do? Do people deserve to be treated that way? Think about it.
