The countdown is on to this year's Trust Thamesmead Community Festival in Birchmere Park, 10:00am-8:00pm on Saturday 12 July.
Hosted by TGR Sound, live on the main stage will be: Hot Chocolate, Booty Luv, Jaki Graham, Michelle Gayle, The Blues Brothers Uncut, T2 featuring Addictive and more including this year's headline act; Moni Tivony aka Lionel Richie from BBC1's The One and Only TV show.
This year's T Factor winners will also be on the main stage; Derry Shellam, Sam Coomber, Simple Crush, Annastasia Baker and the over all winners Myztikal.
As will the 2006 and 2007 T Factor winners, G. M .A. and Audio Hawk as well as former T Factor finalist Georgia Collins, who last year went on to sing both the British and American anthems at the first league hockey games to be held in the UK (at The o2), the 2007 BBC Proms and has secured a place at the Brit School.
In the countdown to the 2012 Olympics there will be a Sports Zone, where Thamesmead Town Football Club and Charlton Athletic will be showing off some spectacular football skills and encouraging people to get involved with lots of football fun. It isn't just football that will be on offer - you will have the chance to slam dunk a basketball, watch sports demonstrations by local sporting clubs and speak to them at the community sport stalls.
There will also be an Activities Zone including a mobile climbing wall sponsored by London City Airport who will be running a competition on the day, a Children's Zone featuring a land train, tea cup ride, bungee trampoline and an inflatable playground, as well as various community stalls, Greenwich Council's Talk Café', and the ever popular Gallions Housing Association's beach which this year will have a Hawaiian theme.
