What the Dickens? It's a bazaar event!

GREAT fun was had by all who attended the Westcombe Society's annual Dickensian Christmas Bazaar on November 17.
Record numbers, many in Dickensian costume, turned up to the event, which was held at Blackheath High School for Girls.
The 20-foot Christmas tree (kindly donated by Capital Roofing) has since been put up in the Royal Standard.
Apart from the stalls selling gifts, Father Christmas turned up, and there were free children's events, including face painting and two Punch and Judy shows.
Children were delighted to see local author Axel Sheffler, who turned up to sign his popular Gruffalo books.
The bazaar raised more than £4,000 for the Demelza Children's Hospice.
