Mary Mason, manager of the Bromley branch of the Alzheimer's Society, was the guest speaker and gave a fascinating presentation on dementia. She spoke about whom it affected, the symptoms and highlighted ways of helping people who have the condition. She said: "In today's presentation, I tried to show people the frustration that people with dementia feel when they try to do seemingly ordinary tasks and recall simple information. I was very pleased to be invited along to talk at the Churches Together this afternoon to pass on this message and highlight the work that is done by the Alzheimer's Society across the Borough to help alleviate the problems that people with dementia live with daily, and support both them and their relatives and friends to deal with this life-changing condition."
