Petts Wood Gears Up for May Fayre
With May Day just around the corner the Petts Wood May Fayre committee has been hard at work to bring local residents an even bigger and better May Fayre for the Monday bank holiday.
Festivities commence on Saturday 3rd May with the traditional parade from the May Queen group. The parade starts at 2pm from the top of Queensway and finishes at the Petts Wood Memorial Gardens in Petts Wood Road - via Tudor Way and Fairway. The crowning of the new May Queen will take place on Monday 5th May alongside a plethora of activities for residents.
These include a large classic and vintage car show plus police car and motorbikes, fire engine (on call), children's rides and bouncy castle and maypole dancing.
There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the day including a variety of dance schools performing routines as well as live music, a treasure hunt, a variety of stalls selling or promoting goods, cakes and refreshments, clubs and organisations with craft activities and face painting to name a few.
The May Fayre will take place at the Petts Wood Memorial Hall and Gardens in Petts Wood Road - from 10am - 4pm.
