The May Fayre celebrations, sponsored by Cook, proved a great success on bank holiday Monday, thanks in part to the glorious weather, but more so for the great variety of entertainment and publicity surrounding this traditional annual event.

Father Christmas will be at the David Rae Hair Spa, Station Square in Petts Wood on Wednesday 12 December in his ice grotto along with his fairies and pixies. If you want to go along and tell him what you want for Christmas he'll be there from 3pm.

Local School Shoots Up League Table

St James Roman Catholic Primary School in Maybury Close, Petts Wood has made it into 12th position in the Top 500 State Primary Schools National League Table - quite an achievement considering there are 22,156 primary schools in the UK. The voluntary-aided school for children aged 5 - 11 years came up second best in London and third in the southeast of England.

A Very Special Award for our PCSOs

Two of Petts Wood PCSOs, Lindsay Ewins and Dionne Sandall of the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been presented with awards at the Safer Bromley Partnership annual awards ceremony that took place recently.
