MEMBERS were regaled with a presentation by Irene Palmer of photographs taken by herself and husband John during a visit to Argentina.
The previous week's meeting had seen two competitions for monochrome photography.
First, Orpington Photographic Society (OPS) was at home to Cheam Camera Club. Roger Force, a senior judge who had visited the society many times, awarded the top mark of 10 to four images.
These were an architectural image entitled Spirals, a study of wine being poured into a glass, a beautiful shot of a water lily and a dramatic shot of a sign in Budapest. Unfortunately for OPS, Cheam won out.
Thanking him on behalf of OPS, chairman John Abrook said he had shown great selectivity based on his experience.
The society also played host to a competition in the same league between clubs from Woolwich and Beckenham, the latter winning on points.
Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at Christ Church, in Charterhouse Road, Orpington.
