Rotary Club of Orpington Crofton

10:07am Monday 10th December 2007

GROUP Study Exchange, a programme run by Rotary International, allows a team of young business people and professionals to visit another country.

The trip aims to help them to broaden their experience and develop skills and knowledge.

Rotary Clubs act as host families, arrange visits and drive the team members to the different locations.

A team from south Australia spent time with Rotary Clubs in the area, including the Rotary Club of Orpington Crofton.

Team leader Kent Andrew runs his family business growing, packing and marketing fruit.

The team was made up of Gary Holzer, an IT project manager in the health sector; social worker Alison Gilbert; Charlene McGrath, a science and maths teacher in Adelaide, and Ruth Coates, a ranger ecologist at the Banrock Station vineyard.

The Club meets at 7.30pm on Monday evenings at The Change of Horses pub in Farnborough Village.

New members are welcome.
