Green Street Blues

GREEN Street Blues, a ladies a cappella chorus, have just won a silver medal at the annual convention of the national Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers.

Three quartets from the chorus Diva, Out of the Blue and Riot were also highly placed, with Diva winning an award for most improved quartet.

The event was held over the weekend of October 26 to October 28 in Bournemouth with more than 35 choruses and 23 quartets from all over the country registered to compete.

Green Street Blues are a close harmony ladies chorus drawing on talent from Kent and South East London and supported by the Sevenoaks District Arts Council.

As well as competing nationally, they regularly perform at a wide variety of functions throughout the south of England and abroad, including guest appearances in the USA.
