Hayes (Kent) Evening Townswomen’s Guild
LAST month the guild celebrated its 50th anniversary with lunch in Keston.
The menu was enhanced by the vibrant flower arrangements that produced a golden glow on the tables.
Jenny Stratford, the national treasurer, gave a very witty speech with amusing digressions before our two founder members cut the cake.
Entertainment concluded the afternoon testing our musical knowledge. A memorable and successful event enjoyed by the coming together of members past and present.
In February Ewa Prokop introduced members to projects to keep the borough green and in March the topic by Anita Jones was The History of the Handkerchief.
The next meeting is at 7.45pm next Wednesday at Rosary Catholic Church Hall, Hayes, when Paul Rason will speak about Bromley VC Connections.
