Bromley Borough Local History Society
THE North West Kent Family History Society joined
the Bromley Borough Local History Society for a joint meeting entitled Families in Local Histor last month.
The illustrated talk arose from a joint exhibition the two societies held at Bromley
Library last year and members had a chance to view the exhibition boards as well as listen to the speakers.
Bromley secretary and local historian Patricia Knowlden talked about the research she and Joyce Walker had done on families and their communities. Joyce had researched the Killick family, a major joinery firm in West Wickham, and Patricia the Martin family,
who farmed in the area for four generations.
Meetings are held at 7.45 pm in the Methodist Church Hall, North Street, Bromley.
