THE 5000 Club, a social club based at Bromley United Reformed Church (URC) which brings together homeless people and church members, celebrated St Andrew's Day with a meal and music by a Scots piper.
George Ferrier of the Glen Duart Pipe Band, a member of Sanderstead URC, played members into their meal.
The Scottish theme was maintained throughout as the candlelit tables were decked out with tartan runners and napkins, and many of the guests wore plaid.
Cecilia Yardley, the development worker at Bromley URC who set up the 5000 Club, said: "It's a special experience you don't get every day.
"We like to give 5000 Club members a really good time with freshly cooked food, a lovely atmosphere and different celebrations."
The 5000 Club Dinner With Friends is held fortnightly on Mondays at 7.30pm and offers a two course meal cooked and served by volunteers.
The club urgently needs more volunteers.
