Flag day brings in funds
On behalf of the Alzheimer's Society, fundraising volunteer Paula Dawe would like to thank all those people who contributed to the annual flag day collection total of £227 at the Sainsbury's store at Locksbottom.
A further £25 was donated by the store from charity collection boxes in the store.
The total raised for the day throughout the borough of Bromley was £4,133.
The Alzheimer's Society was formed in 1979 with the purpose of providing support for people with any form of dementia and their carers.
The carers' support service provides understanding, advice and information about support services both from the society and elsewhere.
The day centre is open six days a week and provides care for people with dementia, allowing their carers a much-needed worry-free break.
Situated in a large family house with extensive gardens, White Gables in Bromley Common provides a collection service, hot lunches, activities geared to individual needs including music sessions, singing, exercise and reminiscence sessions plus many others.
