AT THE annual meeting, members looked back on a year of good speakers which included seaside entertainment, The Salvation Army, tai chi for the older person, and Beckenham Fire Brigade offering valuable advice and offering a free service of fitting fire alarms.
The varied outings offered something for everyone and the institute continues to attract new members.
Claire Pinn, the outgoing president for an excellent year, was congratulated and Esme Mead was welcomed as her replacement.
