PETER Lister's collection, 1911 Coronation Air Mail, has won gold medals at various philatelic exhibitions.
It contains many rare, and some unique items.
Of particular note were some of the original documents relating to actual bags of mail on the planes, the silver presentation Vesta Case given to one of the pilots by the Mayor of Windsor and original glass photo-plates of the planes.
The next meeting of the society is today, when Peter O'Keeffe will be talking about his collection of First World War mail.
The society meets in the Public Hall, Bromley Road, Beckenham.
Visitors, guests and new members are always welcome.
Full details may be obtained from secretary David Rennie on 020 8778 7001 or Chris Sands, the membership secretary, on 020 8402 1263.
