Veterans' Day Celebration 2008

Trust Thamesmead would like to invite Thamesmead residents who served in the Armed Forces or worked in a munitions factory, to a free day trip; including a return coach, lunch and entrance into the Imperial War Museum on Veterans' Day, Friday 27 June.
Those interested should contact Trust Thamesmead's Community Development Officer Roz Williams on T: 020 8320 4482 before Tuesday 17 June. Places are limited and must be pre-booked.
Veterans' Day was initiated in 2006 to celebrate the contribution made by all those who have served in the Armed Forces and a means of raising public awareness of Veterans' issues.
Last year Trust Thamesmead laid on an afternoon tour and dinner at the Firepower in the Old Woolwich Arsenal for 48 ex service men and women.
