Trust Thamesmead's T Factor auditions took place at Woolwich Polytechnic on Saturday, 5 April.
Six groups, totaling 29 different acts ranging from rock groups to pop singers, dancers to miming acts aged 7-20 years old, performed in front of an approving crowd and a judging panel of four, including ex-EastEnders star and Eurovision Your Decision finalist Michelle Gayle, Jo Marchant Headteacher of Windrush Primary School, Leslie Mitchell from Working with Men and one of Trust Thamesmead's Trustees Keeley Savill, in hope they would be put through to The T Factor final.
Only 12 acts are through to the final and be in with a chance of performing in front of a crowd of thousands at this year's Trust Thamesmead Summer Festival. They are Derry Shellam, pop solo Myztikal, dance group Yasmin, pop solo Portia Osie-Bonsu, gospel solo Simple Crush, rock group Sam Coomber, pop solo Stephen, pop solo Annastasia Baker, pop solo Olivia Francis-Akolo, solo Rosey Griffin, pop folk solo Jentel Jem, soul solo 3rd Strike, dance group Trust Thamesmead's interim Arts and Events Coordinator Caroline Townsend said: "I was surprised by the level of talent in Thamesmead and I am really looking forward to the final - I think the judges are going to have a hard time choosing a winner."
The T Factor final, hosted by 103.7fm TGR Sound will be taking place at the Greenwich Theatre on Wednesday 14 May.
