Bexleyheath Afternoon Townswomen’s Guild

3:36pm Tuesday 17th June 2008

AT THE last meeting, Mrs Mount gave a talk called Medieval Housewife.

It certainly was a lot different for housewives than it is today.

Mr Maurice Tripp gave a talk called Four Weddings and a Funeral.

He quoted various excerpts from Oscar Wilde, Sir John Mortimer and Alan Bennett, about leading characters, both interesting and amusing.

The arts and crafts section had as usual a busy time with various projects.

And the gardens and nature section welcomed Mrs Barbara Stevens, who entertained the ladies with slides and a talk on olive oils.
