Hair stylists show off skills
STYLISTS let their imaginations run wild as they created their hair fantasies at the Graham Webb International award ceremony.
The event, which also included the company's Junior of the Year competition, took place at the Sevenoaks Playhouse.
The juniors' challenge was to express their artistic skills. Their work was inspired by everything from Martians to Minnie Mouse.
The coveted Junior of the Year title went to Laura Bailey, of the Lee Green salon.
Other winners were:
Jessie Pulbrook - First Year winner, from Orpington salon.
Jessie Cockley - Assistant Stylist of the Year, Bexleyheath salon.
Rosie Alston - Artistic Express of the Year, Tunbridge Wells salon.
Steve Shorter and Sue Smith - Managers of the Year, Steve is Lee Green manager and Sue is the manager at Tonbridge.
Jed Hamil, managing director of GWI, was impressed with the standards of his team.
He said: "Every year we hold this competition and every year I think these kids are amazingly talented and every year they surpass themselves.
"They are such an inspiration and a vital part of the GWI team, so full of enthusiasm for the industry and their work, it makes me proud to be a part of GWI."
