Poetry success for pupils
 |
| Left to right: Katie Andrew, Symran Bhogun-Scott, Alexandra Bakewell and Alice Hawkins |
FOUR proud pupils at Pelham Primary School in Bexleyheath are celebrating seeing their poetry published in an anthology A Recipe For Inclusion.
The National Association of Special Educational Needs runs an annual national poetry competition asking children to write about the ways that their school includes children of all backgrounds and abilities.
Alex Bakewell and Alice Hawkins, both aged 11, received a highly commended award for their poem Friendship.
Symran Bhogun-Scott and Katie Andrew, both aged 10, received the same award for their poem Communication.
The children wrote their poems as part of the school's after-school writing club Pelham Word Wizards.
