Bexleyheath Afternoon Townswomen
Once again the group has had three very interesting speakers.
Helen Allinson spoke about 100 Years Toys and Play. She displayed some toys from her collection, some old and some not so old.
It was a very interesting collection and included a doll which belonged to her grandmother. The display brought back lots of memories.
Anita Jones gave a talk on The History of Handkerchiefs. This proved to be a most interesting talk, taking us back to BC and then China and the Romans.,
Arts and Crafts members made Easter cards using foam which was quite effective.
The Gardens and Nature section had a talk about hedgehogs from a lady who has cared for more than 200 and has about 30 at the moment.
She also brought a hedgehog with her, one which cannot be released. It was a delightful afternoon.
