CLEAN UP: It was with great disappointment when walking to Swanley station recently I noticed the amount of rubbish lying about. We live in a lane and every week my husband goes out and collects the rubbish in front of our house and along the road a little way, which is mostly thrown out of cars. In the towns it is even more prevalent. Could we all not clear it up outside our own homes, do a little to help the environment and have some pride in our streets?

OFFERING SUPPORT: I read with sadness the story of my fellow Nigerian Taiwo Balogun (Mum's Bid To Kill Sons And Commit Suicide, News Shopper, April 16). I do feel empathy towards this lady as a single mum myself. Life can be harsh but I hope she finds the inner strength and determination to bounce back. If she is keen to communicate with me then I will be more than willing to provide the support within my power.
