As you all know, Your Lord and Lady Piggott have been away in Eastbourne for the weekend with our friends the Seymour-Clouts.
We arrived at our favourite guesthouse just a few minutes after six o’clock on Friday evening and were a little dismayed that resident landlords Frank and Paul had been called away on business. We were instead welcomed at reception by their friends Ms. Hardyke and her companion of many years Ms. Sprattbutton.
The two ladies had apparently been holding the fort for the last couple of weeks or so and over tea and muffins gave us an extremely long and tedious account of how efficiently they had been running the establishment in their associates’ absence.
Frank and Paul have been accommodating us all for many years and have become used to Your Lord’s habits so when after an hour of listening to the new hosts' inane ramblings I produced a cigar from my jacket pocket and beckoned them for a light, I was somewhat taken aback when their chattering stopped mid-sentence and they proffered looks that would have mere mortals scurrying for the cupboard under the stairs.
On seeing two contorted faces that could have quite easily curdled milk and put the entire yogurt industry out of business, I enquired as to the reason for their aghast, even though the interlude from their tedious and unrelenting narrative was in itself a tonic whose recipe the manufacturer of Actimel would have quite gladly paid a small fortune for.
‘We do not allow smoking at The Pink Pillars, My Lord’, announced Ms. Sprattbutton.
As Your Lord likes to keep pace with current events and is therefore aware of the smoking laws introduced by our loony Labour government, I apologised and rose to make my way to the back garden.
‘Neither do we permit smoking in the garden’,Ms. Hardyke snapped, her nostrils flaring as if given a good dose of smelling salts.
‘And what do you allow?’ I asked with the look I give Grimes when it is time for the implement to see the light of day.
‘All activities excluding smoking, drinking, swearing or excessive noise in rooms after 10 o’clock in the evenings and most definitely no takeaways to be eaten in the lounge or rooms’, replied Ms. Sprattbutton.
Lady Piggott and the Seymour-Clouts slowly turned their heads and looked at one another with expressions that I should imagine rivalled those of the inhabitants of Pompeii a second after Mount Vesuvius blew its top in A.D. 79.
‘In that case, my dears’, I responded, ‘it appears that normal human activities do not have a place in this establishment while you are both at the helm.
‘I appreciate your views on smoking, drinking and a bit of ladies and gentlemen after dark but the fact that you could assume that Your Lord would lower himself to purchase a takeaway of any description is beyond the pail.
‘I can quite honestly state that I have never been so insulted in my entire existence.
'I would also like to inform you Ms. Hardyke, that your handlebar moustache, sideburns and monocle do not become you and the aroma of your aftershave is more offensive than any cigar, cigarette or pipe.'
With that I lit my cigar, flicked the match onto the carpet and left with my wife and friends.
Fortunately, we found exquisite accommodation a few streets down from The Pink Pillars at the Las Vegas Hotel where smoking, drinking and other assorted goings-on are positively encouraged.
Have you ever stayed at a hotel from hell? If so, Your Lord and his followers would love to hear about it.
I hope you all had a splendid weekend and feel refreshed enough to take on the coming week.

A very amusing tale. Maybe Grimes has taken revenge for your use of the implement by purchasing your holiday garments from Primark. The 'ladies' must have got a glimpse of the labels and thought you were Erithians. Either that or you had some KFC bones stuck in your beard!

A great start to the weekend my Lord. I hope your stay at the Vegas was suitable. The all you can eat buffets are excellent value.
I think you were best out of the Pink Pillars, the whirring of Ms Hardykes rubber hubby would have kept you awake most of the night anyway.

Good Morning My Lord,
Sorry the weekend got off to a bad start, but glad to hear everything turned out well and you were able to get a room at the Las Vegas Hotel.
My worst hotel experience was in New York. (Not quite the Hotel from Hell but it wasn't good) Normally I stay with friends whilst in The Big Apple, but this time some friends had booked a “package deal” as a group of us went to celebrate a silver wedding anniversary. The Hotel we stayed at was filthy, the rooms tiny, the bathrooms old and disgusting. O and we had a great view….. of a brick wall. It’s making me shudder just thinking about it! My husband and I split from the group and headed down to Atlantic City so we could at least spend one of our nights in luxury at Donald Trumps hotel.
I am dying to hear how [bold]Sunny’s[/bold] weekend went. Did she meet up with [bold]The Real Me?[/bold]
Have a great day everyone and I hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather.

I'm here!!!
Sorry for a late log on, the traffic was horrendous this morning. Police cars everywhere and being diverted into a direction I didn’t want to go in. Aah!! Then I saw a man smoking a large cigar whilst petrol was pouring out of his car – he did look a bit confused when he was surrounded by flashing blue lights.
Well, to put you all out of your misery – The Real Me didn’t show. I ordered a gorgeous bottle of champagne at the bar and waited for quite some time – but he didn’t put in an appearance; unfortunately! The place was very quiet so I was scanning all (6) men – and was even running around saying ‘The Real Me’ where are you?? There were 2 men having quite an intimate moment and I did interrupt them as one of them had black hair; they thought I was potty and I think I was annoying them ever so slightly. I didn’t see anybody proclaiming their undying love for me, Sunny!! Boo hoo! I am sure The Real Me has a great excuse for the ‘no show’.
Am going to go away for a little cry now and log back on later.

well Real Me, at least you had the balls to apologise - if not show ;-). I am sure if next time something is arranged it will work out - try a group of you so it not so daunting.

I think that from now on it would be best to arrange any meetings via private messages in the [bold]Forum[/bold] section.
I go under the name [bold]Lord Erastus Piggott[/bold].
Are you all set up on there?

Good Morning All,
What a gorgeous weekend! Hope everyone had a wonderful time. Erastus with the smoking ban whenever you light up people look at you like you are some kind of weirdo, it is very frustrating. It really makes me laugh when you are eating out and you fancy a cigarette so you go outside to have one and whilst you are out there people look at you with utter disgust but the fumes from the passing traffic doesn't bother them in the slightest! Laughable!
Sunny such a shame the real me lost his balls, never mind it would be better to arrange something in private as Erastus suggests as there are probably a few weirdos on here.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday, don't worry too much about age, you're only as old as the man that you feel!
Here's looking forward to a sunshine week!

Dear The Real Me,
Apology accepted. Shame you didn't show as I did wear my pretty green dress and I was really looking forward to meeting you, but when there was a 'no show' my friend and I picked up another bot of champers and headed back to my palace garden where we devoured fish and chips!! I was wearing very high heeled black boots and I was in need of sitting somewhere a little more comfortable.
Yes, Lizzielooloo - after a few glasses of bubbles I mustered up some Dutch courage and went around calling The Real Me!! even interrupting 2 'nice' boys - I think I told them that one of them had to be the Real Me!!! yes, it was time to leave and continue my birthday 'bash' at home. Incidentally, my friend couldn’t stop laughing at me!!
The forum – great idea Erastus, but for some reason I cannot log onto it and a message keeps popping up with ‘please contact the administration team at News shopper’ – which I have not done as yet.
Pleased to hear you all had a great weekend!
Does anyone know what happened this morning near New Cross?? just before the bridge where the police were diverting all traffic?? Was there a bad car crash? Lizzielooloo I did see you mentioned 2 car accidents, but were they in this area?
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Pink Kitten
Thank you for the update. It must have been some crash as it took me 40 minutes to drive down one street when diverted by the police to go another way, typical!- sigh!
Thanks to everyone for your support. I was touched.
L&L are you still in the States?
The worse hotel I stayed in had to be a hostel (does this count??) I was on holiday with my then 'husband' and for the first week we stayed in a lovely villa with pool etc, really pretty but when it came for him to pay for the following week the mean man [italic]appeared[/italic] and we stayed in a hostel! One room, a curtain to add privacy to the shower room with toilet and a balcony which was about 2 feet by 2 feet. For the last evening he made us sleep on the ground outside (he knew some people we could have stayed with but this was just his way of punishing me - for a change)I ended up turning up at the airport full of bugs in my clothes and hair and a dirty face - it was a freezing night and the only way I could sleep was to loose consciousness(something he is unable to do). What a way to end a holiday. I soon divorced him after that.
[bold]Erastus[/bold] , I hope you match left a HUGE burn mark in the carpet!! hee, hee

Hi Sunny
Ah shame the Real Me missed out on seeing you, but sounds like you had a cracking weekend anyway.
We passed the accident at Deptford, it looked like it had just happened. The other accident was in Peckham, just near the fire station (o I have such a lovely journey to work).
Yes I'm set up on the Forum, but as soon as DavidCH starts, I'm off.
O what lovely weather, but it does bring out some weird and wonderful clothes. I've just looked out of my office window and see a guy in long white and blue stripey shorts with large green spots. Nice!
Enjoy the day - I am yearning to get home to enjoy dinner and a nice V&T with ice and a slice, in the evening sun out in the garden.

Lizzie, you have the best ideas. I just seen daylight for the 1st time since 6.30 this morning and I like it specially with the thought of a long cold 40% tipple in my paws.
roll on 4 o/c. who would like to join me ?

Yes, I am registered on the Forum, but I cannot remember my password either. Shall sort it out!. LAtD - you are not alone there!!
[bold]Lizzielooloo[/bold] , the cops cars have been chiming all day. Lets hope the journey home is better than the one coming in. Ah, V&T in the garden sounds bliss! You have the right idea. Oh well, not long to go.
Yes, L&L I did finish the bot of bubbly in the Cave, but I failed miserably with the one in the garden. I didn't eat prior to going out so was a silly girl, but the fish and chips were great!! But at least I had a lovely glass of bubbles on Sunday, I suffered for the day in pyjamas then set off to Foal Farm yesterday feeling still very frail to have a look at the animals and the lovely HUGE Vietnamese Pig who has been there for a very long time. He wouldn't come out of his house (bit too hot) but he has got bigger as I could see him in his house, slumped on the ground.
What did everybody else get up too?

Hello Followers,
There is someone called Robert Williams who used to be a blogger on here who has another blog, and he has been saying some rather unfriendly things about my husband and his followers.

[italic]Some time ago I signed up for the [bold]NewsShopper[/bold] blog service. [bold]The NewsShopper[/bold] is one of the many free newspapers in our area to fall on our doormats every week. There are about six of them but the [bold]Shopper[/bold] has been the longest established and seems to have the better of the crop of local journalists.
Recently I haven't had much to add to my [bold]NS[/bold] blog. I was kind of put off by the horrible user interface for writing to the blog, the completely unmemorable password, the inability to change said password and not having anything to write that would appeal to the [bold]NS[/bold] audience. Also the recent change in structure to the site made me think that the user blogs would be completely hidden except to the very determined.
Now I find that a new set of bloggers have arrived, drawing in unprecedented amounts of comments. The most popular appears to be someone calling himself Lord [bold]Erastus Theobald Piggott[/bold] who, quite frankly, disturbs me. His posts are generally well written and cogent although perhaps rather right-wing but comments, particularly critical comments result in rather snooty name-calling with assorted members of his entourage joining in illiterately.
Well, good luck to them. This is seems a bit juvenile for my tastes. No more [bold]NewsShopper[/bold] blogging for me.[/italic]

O dear poor Robert no one wants to read his boring blog about catching a train to work boohoo.
I see lots of people have commented on the other site (I’ve left mine) probably the most comments he has ever had on one of his blogs.
Hope you are all well today on this gorgeous day.
I raised a glass to you mt last night whilst in the garden.
Have a good day

Thank you Erastus for the information about ginger and I have just had a look at his site. I think he is a desperate gay man using the blog site as a 'pulling' shop as you can clearly see he is not a HOT stud. He should be ashamed of himself and reported. Actually, I am surprised that Mr Bull hasn't pulled the plug on him already.
Reasons:
1. Using the blog as a gay pulling parlour and 2. Boring the pants off us all with his drivel about travelling to work. Oh please do get a life. I really don't think he will be missed at all!! ha, ha!!

Actually, I am surprised that Mr Bull hasn't pulled the plug on him already.
Reasons:
1. Using the blog as a gay pulling parlour and 2. Boring the pants off us all with his drivel about travelling to work. Oh please do get a life. I really don't think he will be missed at all!! ha, ha!!
morning all.
wonderful to be alive on this beautiful day. Now if only I could persuade the boss to give me the afternoon off. any ideas ?? oh am now registered on the forum thingy under mt

Tell the boss you ate something dodgy last night and can't get off the loo!! Just don't come into work with a gorgeous Mediterranean tan tomorrow!!! Take the week off, why not!!

I don't know what I am offering today?? I think mt had a spare room which he was offering to you. I do however have a guest room, but I use it as an extra wardrobe room! I thought that NY men were quite happily open about being gay, so that's a new one to me L&L. Yes, Robert is definitely pimping himself on the site. He does look quite desperate. Cannot believe the rudeness towards our [bold]Erastus[/bold]'s blogs, he's just jealous because nobody is interested in him.
So your in the US, lucky you L&L. Is the violence worse over there? I recall a girlfriend leaving the hotel on her first day there and a gun was put to her head for her purse, she gave him her bag because she was so scared!!

Hi Sunny, sorry you were right it was 'mt's offer. Sorry 'mt'.
Yes Sunny when you get out of the big cities the gay thing is still an issue to lots of people. The violence is a big city thing too I find. Most large cities in the world have violence problems. You just need to use common sense. Would you walk around Peckham, New X, Thamesmead etc late at night with loads of bling on show. No way !!.
Check out Mexico City for violence. Wow , makes London seem like the vicars tea party.
That reminds me have you seen the movie "Man on Fire' , good film or what ??

Hi L&L
I haven't seen the film "Man on Fire" who are the actors in this film?
Back in my airline days I used to laugh at fellow colleagues who would insist on going to Mexico with all their bling on, only to be robbed and come back a nervous wreck. Never to return again! Interesting as they were advisors for travellers without any experience of travelling! My brother-in-law use to park his car on the boarder whilst picking up a few bits from their local shop and by the time he went back to his car, tyres etc would have been stripped from the car and he would have to buy his possesions back from a 5 year old. How mad is that! I would have beaten the little bleeder.
p.s. Cannot stand bling, such a low life statement
Good night all - am outa here!

Hi Sunny, Denzil Washington is the star in Man on Fire. Its a great movie, good sound track too. A must watch in my opinion. One of my favorites too is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. A big chunk of McMurphy ( Jack ) in me.
The rebel. :))

Hi L&L
Just saw your message. Thank you. DW is a fab actor. I saw Jack Nicholson - One flew over the cuckoo's nest in an Oxfam a couple of weeks ago for 50p! I may have to watch that film, again over the weekend.
Take care, Sunny x
