With exams looming on the not-too-distant horizon, the nation’s youthful heartbeats are quickening, and our minds are becoming rapidly filled with facts and figures which usually have no place within our heads.
Shakespeare, Pythagoras and Newton are all making reappearance in our lives, and many lonely hours are being spent in our rooms, mulling over every aspect of AQA's wretched syllabus.
Does all this stress really lend itself to a healthy lifestyle and eventual success?
Coupled with this impending doom is the never-ending threat of swine flu, which is undoubtedly transforming our already troubled minds into raging hypochondriacal wrecks with tales of death, disease and all too tempting school closures.
All this makes for a youth culture hell-bent on surviving the next, seemingly never ending year ahead, let alone contemplating our futures.
However, of course, these have become futile, thanks to the Americans and our wonderful parental generation, we have been lumbered with an enormous debt that is incredibly unlikely to ever be paid off during our lifetime and is now unsurprisingly triggering resentment towards our already hapless parents, desperately as they may try to bribe and reconcile with their promises of Reading tickets or perhaps cash for A*s.
So, what with all the worries, foibles and indiscrepancies of our world today, is it any wonder that the world is in crisis, and that panic grips the world all too easily?
Are we all turning into raving hypochondriacs and basically a bunch of misfits?
The answer can be seen in every home, office and institute in the world; decide for yourself.
